Welcome to the Silver Creek High School Hampton-Phillips Track Meet for 2010.
This historical track meet looks to showcase the talents of over 1500 athletes with up to 7000 spectators and is a source of pride for the city of San Jose.
Silver Creek is one of only eight high schools in the nation to produce two Olympic Gold Medalists in Track and Field. Millard Hampton, a graduate of Silver Creek, won a Gold Medal at the 1976 Olympic Games in the 400-meter relay and a Silver Medal in the 200-meter dash. Andre Phillips, also a Silver Creek graduate, won a Gold Medal at the 1988 Olympic Games in the 400-meter hurdles. Both athletes graduated from Quimby Oak Middle School, Silver Creek High School, San Jose City College and UCLA.
